The People Behind the Magic: Celebrating Our Child's World Team

Every morning at Child's World Woodland Hills, something remarkable happens. The lights come on, the classrooms get ready, and the people who have dedicated their careers to the care and education of young children walk through the doors ready to give everything they have.

This week, May 4 through 8, is Staff Appreciation Week. And while we celebrate our team all year in a hundred small ways, this is the week we stop and say it out loud.

What our teachers actually do

It is easy to underestimate what it takes to be a great early childhood teacher. It is not just reading stories and supervising play. Our teachers are trained professionals who understand child development, build individualized relationships with every child in their care, manage complex classroom dynamics, support children through big emotions, and simultaneously create a safe, stimulating environment for children at vastly different developmental stages. They do all of this before most of us have finished our morning coffee.

They also do it with joy. That is not a given. It is a choice, made fresh every single day.

What our staff means to your family

When you hand your child to a Child's World teacher in the morning, you are doing something that requires enormous trust. You are saying: I believe you will keep my child safe, and I believe you will help them grow. Our team takes that trust as seriously as anything they do. Many of our staff members have been at our Woodland Hills campus for years, and some have been here for decades. They have watched children grow from infants into kindergarteners. They have celebrated milestones with families. They are, in the truest sense, part of your child's story.
