Behind the Scenes: How Child's World Encino Prepares for Summer Camp

Most families know what summer camp at Child's World Encino looks like from the front: the pool, the field trips, the messy play, the entertainers, the big smiles at pickup. But a lot of work happens before the first camper ever walks through the door.

From June 10 through June 12, Child's World Encino will be closed for Staff Development Days. During that time, our team is doing the kind of work that makes summer special.

Teachers and staff will gather for training sessions tailored to the specific needs of our team. Each director leads her own curriculum, and ours shapes every session around what she knows our teachers need to grow and feel supported. Sometimes that means a guest speaker. Sometimes it means working through curriculum planning together. It always means investing in the people who invest in your children every day.

Alongside the professional development, our staff is physically transforming the campus for summer. The water slide comes out. The pool is set up, stocked with swim toys, and prepared for our swim instructors and private lesson program. Classrooms get redecorated with summer themes, turning every space into an invitation to explore.

This is not your average cleanup day. It is a full reset, and it reflects something important about who Child's World Encino is as a school: a place that prepares thoughtfully, trains its team well, and creates environments where children cannot wait to walk in.
