A Day in the Life, From the Teachers Who Live It

Back to School Night is one of the evenings our teachers look forward to most. They spend their days with your children. On Tuesday, September 15, at 4:30 PM, they get to spend an evening with you.

Here is how it goes. You settle into your child's classroom, in the room where your little one hangs a backpack every morning. Your child's teacher walks you through the day from the top. Arrival, circle time, the projects on the table, snack, outside time, and the quiet stretch in the afternoon. Teachers point to the shelves and explain why the materials sit where they do.

Teachers also share what the year ahead holds. You will hear the learning goals for your child's age group, the activities planned for the months to come, and the milestones children usually reach in that room. Our program blends play with letters, numbers, science, and handwriting. This is the evening where teachers show you how all of that fits into the real hours of a real day.

Then the floor is yours. Ask about naps. Ask about drop off tears. Ask how your child handles transitions, or what you can practice at home. Our teachers have been doing this a long time. Several have taught in these classrooms for decades, and there is very little they have not seen.

There is one more reason to come. The families in your child's classroom are the ones you will trade playdate plans with, celebrate birthdays with, and text on a busy morning. Our classroom communities are close here, and most of our new families arrive because another family told them about us. Back to School Night turns a name your child says at dinner into a face you know.

Please note that we close early, at 3:00 PM, on September 15 so our teaching team can set up the rooms for the evening.
