Curriculum - Elementary School
"I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand..."
Such is the guideline that steers us at Child's World School. It
underscores our belief that through hands-on, concrete experiences,
children learn about themselves, their society and their world.
By offering a variety of learning activities, children are presented
with the freedom to explore and make decisions, creating independent,
critical thinkers who are excited and motivated to learn.

Our core curriculum is presented with various monthly themes.
Many of a given months's activities, both academic and creative,
will then relate to that particular theme, allowing the opportunity
for different topics to relate to and reinforce each other. This
helps to make lessons more meaningful, easier to understand and
fun. With a consistent progression and using a very non-pressured
approach, the program is designed to encourage self-awareness and
expression, provide sensory experiences, stimulate verbal and social
skills and ensure enthusiasm for mastery of the core subjects and
enrichment subjects with which they are presented.

Because of our small environment and class size, students feel
comfortable and familiar. Teachers are able to know every child
as an individual and are able to present a curriculum that is uniquely
challenging for each. Therefore, if one child needs extra help in
a certain area, it is available. If a child is able to soar ahead,
we have the ability to let him/her fly. Individual needs, at all
levels are certainly met at Child's World School, creating an atmosphere
that motivates the student to strive, to stretch and to rebound
from disappointment.
